Mark Madras is a partner in Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP and specializes in the practice of environmental law. Mark is recognized as one of Canada’s leading environmental lawyers, and counsels clients with respect to a variety of environmental regulation and liability concerns, including climate law, toxic and new substance regulation, contaminated lands, air and water emissions, dangerous goods transportation, waste management, facility auditing, environmental reporting, emergency preparedness and response, environmental issues in commercial transactions, and corporate as well as officer and director environmental compliance concerns. Mark has been counsel on a large number of complex contaminated lands disputes. He has advised manufacturing and chemical industry clients on plant decommissionings across Canada.
Dan Bunner is a Principal in Environ, LLC and has more than 20 years of project management experience that includes Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), remedial planning, site-specific risk assessments, compliance audits, decommissioning programs, and hydrogeologic investigations. Daniel has extensive project management experience on remediation and decommissioning projects that require on-site and off-site remedial planning, stream and stream bank rehabilitation, rail line and spur remedial activities, and remedial supervision, as well as regulatory approvals, verification, legal liaison, process modifications, and the development and implementation of corporate Environmental Management Systems. Daniel has served as Senior Reviewer and Technical Advisor to more than 25 aggregate production and concrete preparation facilities for their environmental compliance auditing and Phase I ESAs.  |
